OVERVIEW

Fourteen single-family town houses at Diamond Beach, Lingshui, Hainan, designed around courtyards, light wells and landscape.

Diamond Beach Town Houses is recorded in the supplied CV as a Redstudio project in Lingshui, Hainan, China, with 4,500 sqm GFA. The project includes 14 single-family town houses: 4 houses at 250 sqm and 10 at 350 sqm. The town houses were designed to allow views of the sea over existing villas to the south and from the low-level apartments in the towers to the north. The plans are organised around walled courtyards and light wells, using light, shade, water, natural ventilation and outdoor spaces connected to the interior. The design works with the established Diamond Beach vocabulary to preserve a village-like community of sympathetic forms, with landscaping designed around and within the town houses.
