OVERVIEW

Commercial workplace component of The Bond, developed as the Asia-Pacific headquarters for Lendlease with workplace, retail, atrium and heritage precinct responses.

The Bond is recorded in the supplied PTW capability material as the commercial component of the Bond and the Asia-Pacific headquarters for Lendlease.

The building comprised eight office levels, a smaller ninth office level, ground-floor retail and two basement levels. PTW worked with Lendlease to deliver a highly efficient commercial building using chilled beam technology rather than conventional air-conditioning, an atrium running through all levels for ventilation, external sun-screen elements and a lighting strategy re-evaluation.

PTW Architects' approach focused on creating a distinctive commercial building that responds to the urban design and heritage opportunities of the site. The retail component at ground floor relates to the base of the atrium and to the external plaza, forming part of a heritage precinct.
