PROFILE
Brett Hudson brings over 38 years’ experience as an architect and practice leader, with a career shaped by the design and delivery of complex civic, community and public projects. His work has included hospitals, galleries, libraries, courthouses, universities and other buildings where design quality, trust, careful consultation and long-term value are essential.
While Brett’s background is primarily in larger public and institutional projects, the qualities that underpin that work are highly relevant to a residential commission: listening carefully, understanding the client’s aspirations, testing design options, managing detail, and guiding the project team toward a well-resolved outcome.
Brett is known for his calm, collaborative approach and his ability to build confidence with clients, consultants and contractors. He sees the design process as a shared journey — one that balances creativity, practicality, budget awareness and the enduring quality of the finished building.
Beyond project work, Brett is committed to strengthening the architectural profession through mentoring, advocacy and industry leadership, including his involvement with the Association of Consulting Architects
